Wine Diploma
It has been some time in the pipeline but I am delighted to announce that this day four weeks the Diploma in Wine and Wine Culture at Independent College, Dublin kicks off for a 12-week ‘run’. Quoting from the College’s website:
“Ireland’s Wine Dream Team combine for the first time to offer a Diploma in Wine and Wine Culture. Beginning on the 11th October and running one evening a week for 12 weeks, some of Ireland’s most knowledgeable, entertaining and experienced writers, journalists, broadcasters and wine professionals will unlock, explore and explain some of humanity’s most alluring, complex and long lived creations.”
I will be lecturing on two topics: Burgundy and Fortified Wines. A host of my colleagues, all noted for their enthusiasm and dedication, will cover a broad range of other topics, making this the perfect course for those who want to expand their wine knowledge in a relaxed yet informative fashion.
The Diploma is the brainchild of Tomás Clancy, Wine Correspondent, Sunday Business Post, whose idea it was to bring together the team of lecturers, and their collective knowledge and wisdom makes this a course not to be missed.
